Completed projects

The project “Inventions at Universities” was carried out at the Research Center for Intellectual Property from September 1999 to June 2000. The project was commissioned by the NRW Ministry of Science. The political context is the state government’s goal of promoting patent applications and the exploitation of research and development results. The associated activities range from the amendment of the so-called university teaching privilege and the dissemination of patent law know-how at universities to the promotion and consulting of university inventors within the framework of the SAFE program.

As part of the project, the reform of the university teaching privilege was evaluated, practical information materials(universities and patents) and an inventor’s guide were created, and workshops were organized and designed.
